Thank you for your interest in Panhellenic sorority recruitment at Virginia Wesleyan College!

We're excited to get to know you!

Please remember to complete the academic release form, which is required to participate.
Potential new members must meet the Grade Point Average (GPA) requirements of the chapters to be considered. GPAs are checked prior to the start of recruitment.

You can find information on the recruitment schedule on our website!

The Panhellenic sororities are Alpha Sigma Alpha, Sigma Sigma Sigma, and Phi Sigma Sigma. If you're interested in Alpha Kappa Alpha or Zeta Phi Beta, they have a separate new member intake process; attend their information sessions and fun events to learn more.

There is a fee to participate in Panhellenic recruitment, which you pay online through this system. The early bird fee is $25 (for registrations received through Sept. 5), then $35 (Sept. 6-20) or $40 (Sept. 21-22). The fees are desposited into the Panhellenic Association's on-campus account and are used to pay for recruitment and programming throughout the year.

Panhellenic recruitment is a mutual matching process. As you, the potential new member, attend our recruitment rounds, you rank the sororities from 1-3 according to your level of interest. Meanwhile, the sororities also rank the potential new members they meet based on who is the best fit for their chapters. All potential new members attend round 1. After that, sororities extend invitations back to rounds 2-3. A computer system matches the potential new members with sororities based on their mutual rankings. On Bid Day, you may receive up to 1 bid. Not every woman is guaranteed to receive a bid. Sororities are limited as to how many new members they can take during recruitment. Potential new members are encouraged to keep an open mind and consider the benefits of each chapter.
